Keep Calm and Finish Strong

With the school year finally coming to an end, I think I can speak for most of us when I say that it’s becoming challenging. Whether you’re a freshman or a senior, there are various ways to stay inspired and to conclude this year with the rewarding feeling of achievement. Now is the wrong time for a loss of motivation!
It’s difficult to stay organized, focused, and engaged this time of year. We often don’t want to attend school, we procrastinate on our assignments, struggle to pay attention in class, and get bored easily. Therefore, the most important piece of advice is to maintain your own routine that is personalized to your life schedule. For example, keep the same wake-up and bedtimes, do schoolwork before the night the assignments are due, and stick to your after-school routine. Also, making sure that you have no distractions, as well as placing your undivided attention on what you should be focusing on is very effectful.

In addition, it is vital to become excited about learning. Interest is the greatest motivator to complete projects and tests on time, and it’s significantly more difficult without it. This excitement not only comes from yourself, but the people around you as well. The family, friends, and teachers that are close by can be most impactful in your path of succession.

Although summer break is the on the top on our minds, we have to continue to stay driven for a few more weeks and remember what we are working for. With passion and encouragement, we will soon be rewarded.
