Julian Schott and Kylie Ta’amai Take the Crown!

Julian Schott and Kylie Ta’amai win Homecoming King and Queen! Take a behind-the-scenes look at what it is like to be up for the crown.

It has been a tough battle out there for King and Queen of the 2022 Homecoming Season. The nominees up for King this year were Jaiden Lockhart, Julian Schott, and Charles Sullivan. For Homecoming Queen, the nominees were Judy Elgendi, Neveah Jewell, and Kylie Ta’amai. On Friday Night, Julian Schott, and Kylie Ta’amai conquered the competition and took the win.

When asked why he chose to run, Julian said, “Ever since my freshman year, I remember seeing RJ, five-star lineman who committed to Kentucky, win. Ever since that day I wanted to be Homecoming King” He says that he did not expect to win and there are “a lot of emotions to take in at once” Julian wants to thank his best friends Daytona and Saylor, his family, and the dance team for all the support.

Kylie adds that she chose to run “just for the heck of it” because it is her senior year. Like Julian, she also did not expect to win, which means a lot to her. Kylie says, “I would like to thank my friends and my boyfriend and everybody for supporting me”

Overall, it seems like the Homecoming King and Queen deserve the win and the support from Woodbridge High School.
