Peter and the Starcatcher: A Winter Theater Production
Peter and the Starcatcher is a show filled with hard work and passion. Students who worked on the production speak about what this play means to them.
Captain Black Stache is played by Theater President, Audrey Evans. She says her favorite part of playing her role is having fun on stage. “It’s fully a new show every time. We make something up new every night, and it’s just hilarious and so fun to be in.” Evans adds that she has never done comedy before, and she has found more fun in comedy which shows her versatility.
Another actress Krista Chaney, choose to be a part of this play because theater has been a part of her life since elementary school. “There’s something so magical about going on stage and all your problems just slipping away. It’s the most magical feeling on earth and I love it so much.” When asked about her takeaway from the experience, she said, “Give everything time” Chaney says last year was rough with the theater department and she is thankful for getting to perform again.
The Crew also worked extremely hard to put everything together for this play. Senior Stephanie Livia Bacchus worked on producing and setting props for the play. Stepanie says she does it to “feel fulfillment during my senior year,” She says she got to talk to more people than she would normally, and it was a fun experience.
Wonderful job to the theater department for a well-put-together production. It was amazing to watch it all play out.
