New Year, New You

New Year’s is something many see as an opportunity to improve their lives in countless ways. From improving their physical state to upgrading their mental health, it’s viewed by many, including myself, as a beginning to a better future.

According to History, 4,000 years ago, marked the creation of New Year’s celebrations. Occurring in Ancient Babylon, the new year marked the beginning of a new reign. New royalty would enter demonstrating how it has always symbolized a fresh start.

This year I encourage you to continue these traditions and create a “fresh start” to enhance your life. Although many believe giving up after a week is destined to happen, bettering your life for a week is better than never trying.

If this has convinced you in any way, here are some ideas for your New Year’s Resolution:

  • Trying something new once a week
  • Showing kindness to those around you more often
  • Eating Healthier
  • Being more grateful
  • Not caring about other’s opinions so much
  • Saving money
  • Building a better work ethic
  • Reforming your life to be more eco-friendly
  • Spending more time with those you love
  • Setting a limit for social media usage
  • Working out more & learning to love it

To conclude, whether 2022 has made you feel as though you were on top of the world, or down in the deepest hole, set new goals for yourself and try new things. You only live once so you may as well take my advice and this opportunity to truly live your life in the best way possible. Happy New Years!
