Albums of the Month: November

Albums of the Month: November

New music is coming out left and right! Take a look at some of the latest releases for November.

Released on November 4th, Drake and 21 Savage’s album “Her Loss” has skyrocketed to the top of the charts. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart for the biggest week in history. Out of the 16 tracks, the most popular one is “Rich Flex” with 93 million streams on Spotify. This album has themes of insecurity with slow tempos and ’90s nostalgia.

Joji released his 3rd studio album “SMITHEREENS”, which is not what people expected. Joji’s previous albums have had sounds of R&B and electronic rhythms. His new album has more lo-fi tracks with melancholic themes and soulful vocals. His most popular song “Glimpse of Us” went viral on TikTok, with over 1.1 million videos. The song also has 637 million streams on Spotify. The overall album is about missing someone you used to love and picking up the pieces after a heartbreak.

If you want a hi-fi EP with pop explosions and golden synths, you should listen to “I’m Doing Well, Thanks for Asking” by Jordana. Released on November 11th, this complication of six songs is about getting to know yourself again after a heartbreak. She says to Paste Magazine, “It channels the feelings of empowerment and emotional awareness after a tough breakup.”
