It’s almost time for students to click pause on hectic school responsibilities with our upcoming spring break from April 3rd to April 7th. I am sure we can all agree this is much needed, before coming back to finish the school year with strength and dedication.
To start off the season, Washington D.C. offers a beautiful cherry blossom festival from March 20th to April 16th. The sprouting trees are the stars of springtime and explore the beauty of the cherry blossom which is a symbol containing rich meaning in Japanese culture. While the pleasant activity is free of cost, you do need to reserve tickets online beforehand.
Another one of the more popular attractions during the hot seasons, is the beautiful theme park of Busch Gardens located in Williamsburg. They have various rides, attractions, award-winning shows, seasonal events, animal experiences, and much more. Luckily, they are open daily until April 23, so there’s many opportunities to book a trip for you and your loved ones.
Although, there are many other activities that can provide a thrill as well! Virginia offers many beautiful landscapes that may be utilized for specifically your enjoyment. For example, Shenandoah National Park, just 75 miles from Washington D.C., is amongst one of the most visited hike trails locally. Whether you make it to the top or not, the mountains reward you with a breathtaking view throughout the hike.
In addition, a fun way to get a sense of exploration and adventure is simply bike riding. Cycling is a cheap and environmentally safe way to exercise and get a good sweat in. You can take a ride throughout your neighborhood or local park and enjoy the breeze.
The spring season in Virginia welcomes ideal weather to spend your time outside, doing the things you love. Let go of all the tension and pressure you’re feeling this break and have the time of your life.
