As Autumn quickly makes its way towards us, fun is rising all around. Our list of favorite ways to celebrate fall locally will keep you busy throughout the season. Whether you’re planning some fun with your family or your friends, or solo time to recharge– we’ve got options for you.
It’s fun to celebrate fall in Northern Virginia because the season brings cooler days, beautiful fall foliage, and lots of activities to the region. One of the most famous attractions this season is the Halloween Haunt located at Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA. The entire park is covered in scare zones, shows, and haunted rides. Cox Farms in Centreville, VA is a family-owned farm which offers a petting zoo, a produce & flower market & a horror-themed corn maze. They provide warm cups of apple cider and a small pumpkin on the way out of the park to each participant. The Death Trail is a Halloween haunted attraction offering fun and fright in Dumfries, Virginia, located just south of Washington DC—voted as one of the best scares around. The actors put in their all to provide the best experience for everybody.
Tickets for all events described are currently on sale online. Invite your friends and family to have an absolute blast this Fall! Nevertheless, you don’t always need to spend money to have fun. You could always build a bonfire in your backyard, go on a bike ride, or take a weekend road trip. Whatever it is you end up doing, just make sure to make the most out of these beautiful, Fall days.
